Meet the Team
Kirsty
I’m Kirsty, and I am committed to my mission of making life more harmonious for children and families. As a Licensed Profession Counselor and Behavior Specialist, I’ve worked in private practice and schools, delivering in person services. In order to support more children, and care for their caregivers, I have created virtual and online programs. With two decades of experience working with children and families, I bring a well-rounded perspective to parenting. After 12 years in the classroom, I transitioned into high school counseling, which inspired me to pursue professional counseling credentials.
Childhood behavior is more predictable and more manageable than parents and caregivers ever thought possible. With the right tools, stress for everyone in the home can be minimized.
As a parent myself, I understand that parenting is not an exact science, it's a journey filled with challenges, stressors,
Princess Donut
Meet Donut! Donut is our newest staff member and she has been tasked with helping our in-person clients feel more comfortable in the therapy room. While her main job is helping us create a more supportive environment in-person, she also shows up at our online sessions from time to time. She helps our clients reduce stress and increase emotional regulation, particularly our youngest clients who may feel anxious or guarded in traditional therapy settings. Interaction is always client-led and consent-based. Donut helps make our office feel safe, cozy, and friendly. Many people feel more relaxed with a calm dog nearby, which can make talking, playing, and working through big feelings a little easier. If they want to, clients can pet, sit with, or simply share space with Donut.
It is our mission to support children’s mental health, make life more manageable for their caregivers, and help people understand principles of human behavior that can change their lives.
No guilt, no shame, no moral failing. Every problem has a solution.
